Cultural Arts of Gold, the organization that brought you the Congolese Dance and Drum Festival presents an encore of one of its master artists -

BIZA SOMPA

Come and experience extraordinary, electrifying, Congolese dance instructor, performer, and choreographer, as he always brings something unique to the dance floor. Biza is my teacher and I'm always amazed by what he has to offer. He is the Director and Founder of Bichini Bia Congo Dance Theater and currently resides and teaches in Ann Arbor, MI. You can read more about Biza at http://www.bichinibiacongo.com

For those who missed his N. California Tour in the summer, this is another quick opportunity to experience one of the best at his craft. Those of you who attended the tour know what a treat dancing with Biza Sompa was. So, come on back and bring a friend or two. Please spread the word!!!!!!!

*Special Thanks to Leslie C., Dimensions Dance Theater, and Mbayero for co-sponsoring these dates for us.

As you may or may not know, the annual Congolese Dance and Drum Festival that began in June 2006 has been postponed and is tentatively scheduled for October 2011 if all goes as planned. See you on the dance floor!

He'll be back if you missed him! If you did make it out please be sure to update those that missed out so that they can catch him next time. Special Thanks to Muisi-kongo for the collaborative work on behalf of the Fua Dia Congo/Congolese Dance and Drum Workshop, as well as Leslie C, Alseny, Asia, Elizabeth, Cai, and Kris for hosting the workshops in their studio space, we couldn't have done it without you! Again, stay tuned for (CAG)Cultural Arts of Gold artists with future tours, workshops, fundraisers, etc for the (CDDF) Congolese Dance and Drum Festival, which has been tentatively rescheduled for October 6 - 9, 2011....
